Plexus Psychiatry

A new clinic needs two things that pull in different directions. It needs a public presence that earns trust and turns quiet interest into a booking — and it needs a system to actually run on: somewhere the clinicians manage patients, appointments and the work around them, day in, day out.

People arriving at the public side aren't all in the same place, either. Someone still trying to make sense of their symptoms needs reassurance and plain explanation; someone ready to see a consultant just needs to book. And because this is sensitive health data in a regulated setting, none of it can sit on a slow, fragile stack stitched together from plugins.

On the public side we built two linked sites. adhd-autism.net is for people still working things out: free ADHD and autism self-tests that score instantly without asking for an email, and a set of consultant-written articles that name the free NHS routes alongside the paid ones. plexuspsychiatry.com is for people ready to act. Each speaks to one frame of mind, and hands people over to the other when they're ready.

Behind them we built the clinical application the consultants actually work in — a multi-tenant system with its own backend and APIs, where the practice manages patients, appointments and their day-to-day work. Everything is built lean and custom: no WordPress, no plugin sprawl, so it's fast, there's far less attack surface around sensitive data, and the clinic isn't paying to maintain software it never uses.

The clinic opened in 2025 with both halves in place from day one: a credible, fast public presence, and the system it needs to actually operate — all from one supplier, on one stack, rather than a website from one place and a practice system bolted on from another.
